In 2004 I married a wonderful man of God, whom I fell in love with, my Joseph. We both Love and serve Jesus with everything we have. We have been in ministry since we have been married, and in 2009 we started planting a church in Houston Heights, TX. The church was launched on 10-10-10. Joseph is the lead Pastor of Sojourn Community Church , which is our home. We have 2 boxers who are our children.
I am passionate about Adoption, I believe it is a true example of the Gospel and it should be a discussion in every Christian home. (We were adopted into Jesus' family...Praise the Lord he adopted us!)
We are in the process of adopting our first child from Ethiopia. This blog is a chronicle of our adoption process, the highs and the lows.
We are adopting through America World Adoption Agency's Ethiopia program. We have loved them so far and are so happy that the employees are Christians and are very encouraging to trust in the Lord. We have requested a boy (0-5 years.) We have yet to be matched with a child, but have been officially waiting since July 22, 2011. (Dossier to Ethiopia or DTE.) The current wait for a referral is 18-24 months.
